Anna university controller of examination, Chennai conducted the April/May 2018 to all affiliated college under it. The term end examination started in April third week for 8th semester (final year) students. Then soon one after another all semester exams started. The UG and PG 2nd,4th and 6th sem students attended examination in May 2018. Usually every year eight semester results will be announced earlier than second, fourth and sixth semester results. I wrote 8th sem exam in April 2018, when I will get results ?
You may get your final year results in May 2018 or July. Only some students will get their final semester marks in May and other will get their anna university Results 2019 along with lower semester (2nd, 4th and 6th) in July.
Why I will not get my 8th semester result in May ?
You may have arrears in previous semesters and you have written arrears exam now so your results will not be published. Only all clear students will get 8th semester anna university result 2018 earlier. If any one have arrear the their sem 8 results will be withheld and published along with other semester results (second, fourth and sixth sem).

Those who all cleared in the 7th sem result (no arrears while entering eighth semester) will get their final exam grades.
If I failed in 8th sem exam will i get results ?
Yes, your will be published and it will be declared as RA (Re-appear) which indicates arrears.
Paper correction process and grace marks
Paper correction started immediately after the exam got over. some students misunderstood that grace marks will be given and they try to pass the final year students. Its not true, marks are given only for what you wrote.

Term end even semester examination for 2nd, 4th and 6th sem finished in May and at least paper correction process will take a month. Then there are some hugh process involved in it. Its not a easy task to complete the exam process and provide exam results in short time for a university that has more affiliated college. Anna university possibly announce the result in July.
